What a Great Encouragement we have in the Word..!
By Bro. S.M.Vinay
Kumar, Missionary from India.
Greetings
Greetings to you
from our Churches in India and from my family and from all our Preachers who
are doing ministry in India to preach the Gospel of Christ. Thanks for this
opportunity.
We all have times in our lives
when nothing seems to go quite right always. My car has broken down a couple
of time and also recently it broke down, then travel risk, and then your
postpones etc will happened. Like this, one problem leads into another and in
every time we need some kind of Encouragement. When this kind of problem
happens for me you helped to buy a Car and thanks for that. I am so happy to
show up before you today to speak with you. I strongly say that there is ‘NO
DAY’ without God’s encouragement in our life. So devote the Word in the Day
and Night.
What a Great
Encouragement we have in the Word..!
As we know, our families are going
through one of these OR different kind of times right now as we speak. We
all have been having family health issues, sickness, lack of food, sorrow,
sadness and quite a few other similar or smaller issues popping up all at
once.
It is not fun to deal with these
kinds of times in our daily life especially when we are “Stay at Home”, we
call it “Lock Down”, but when we have faith, we can find strength and
encouragement in the Bible. I feel it and we feel it and I preach to feel at
it is written for His people in all kinds of times and seasons in Human life,
to stay strong.
Today I thought I would like to
bring some of these words from the Bible that we need encouragement for all
of us right now in these present days.
1. Encouragement
That Gives us Strength in our weakness
If we believe in
Him, he will give us enough encouragement to get strength, no matter what we’re
dealing with. Here are a few verses that the Bible tell us to get
the strength and encouragement we can find in our Great God.
Psalm 9:9-10 The
Lord is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of
trouble.
1
Peter 4:11 If anyone speaks, they should do so as one who speaks the very
words of God. If anyone serves, they should do so with the
strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through
Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power for ever and ever.
Amen.
John 14:27 Peace I
leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to
you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.–
Strengthening by His Words..
“Physical
strength need for our Physical body and God’s strength needs to our Spiritual
body” We are still in the Physical body in the world. So our inner self to be
new daily..
2 Corinthians
4:16-18 So we do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, our
inner self is being renewed day by day. For this light momentary
affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all
comparison, as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that
are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that
are unseen are
eternal.
1 Chronicles 16:11 Seek
the LORD and his strength; seek his presence continually!
1 Thess 5:11 Therefore
encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you
are doing.
Isaiah
41:10 "So do not
fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I
will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous
right hand."
“God strengthening
you and you strength others in our Christian life.”
See…..What a Great
Strength we have in the Word..!
2. Encouragement
That Brings us Comfort in our sorrow
We don’t expect that
God doesn’t always take away the pain or suffering that we’re dealing with,
but he does give us comfort in the midst of those troubles. But we have to..
Psalm 55:22 Cast/Put
your burden on the LORD, and he will sustain you; he will
never permit the righteous to be moved
Psalm 121:1-2 I
lift up my eyes to the hills. From where does my help come? My
help comes from the LORD, who made heaven and earth.
Isaiah 49:13 Sing
for joy (Last week you heard about the Lesson Joy), O heavens, and
exult, O earth; break forth, O mountains, into singing! For the Lord
has comforted his people and will have compassion on his afflicted.
Deuteronomy 31:8 It
is the LORD who goes before you. He will be with you; he will not
leave you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed”
Psalm 9:9 The LORD
is a stronghold for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble.
And those who know your name put their trust in you, for you, O LORD, have
not forsaken those who seek you.
Psalm 23:4 \Even
though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no
evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.
We always need comfort
in conflicts and the Christian life is not always on top. We will
have my moments of deep discouragement, disappointment and depression,
troubles, temptations... Then we need to go to God in prayer with
tears and say, ‘God, forgive me,’ or ‘God, Help me.’ Or
‘God, Comfort me in this situation’.
John 14:27 Peace
I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I
give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.
Philippians 4:6-7 Do
not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and
supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And
the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts
and your minds in Christ
Jesus.
Colossians 3:15 And let
the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called
in one body. And be thankful.
God has made a
multitude of promises to those who follow Him, and we can get His
great comfort in our incomfort conditions.
See…..What a Great
Comfort we have in the Word..!
3. Encouragement
That Brings us Healing in our Sickness
I would say, now the
World is Sick and need the Healing. God is our Doctor and Healer and not a
healer of group meetings or on the stage performer. But He is only Healing
all the people & Nations.
In our hospital, I
have come across this kind of communication between a Doctor and a Patient,
or helpers who bring him to the hospital. Doctor says I will do the best the rest
will be the God’s blessing. But the Patient says ‘Doctor you are
our God to heal us at whatever cost’.
It’s easy to lose
faith when pain is bother your mind, body, and soul. But it’s never too late
to begin bettering yourself and pushing past this pain. For many, that means
healing — from hardships, personal problems, or even just a rough month. No
matter the situation and the pain, and present COVID-19. If you’re physically
ill or sick in spirit, let these words from the Bible about healing,
remind you that God wants health and wholeness for you, and for all the
faithful. God says, Come
unto to me and I will heal you both your physical body and your soul from
your wounds and sins.
James 5:14-15 “Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the
church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord.
And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will
raise them up. If they have sinned, they will be forgiven.”
Psalm 146:8 "The Lord gives sight to the blind, the
Lord lifts up those who are bowed down, the Lord loves the righteous."
Exodus 23:25 "Worship the LORD your God, and his blessing will be
on your food and water. I will take away sickness from among
you…"
We have to
Pray for Good health from our God for each other: Psalm 6:2 "O Lord, heal me, for my bones are
shaking with terror."
3 John
1:2 "Dear friend, I pray that you
may enjoy good health and that all may go well with you,
even as your soul is getting along well."
See…..What a Great
Healing we have in the Word..!
4. Encouragement
That He helps us in our Needs
God
never says He will provide for your wants Or Needs, but He makes it clear
that He will provide for the needs of His children.
Matthew 6:34
Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for
itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.
2
Corinthians 9:8 And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that
always having all sufficiency in everything, you may have an abundance
for every good deed;
Math 7:7-8 Ask,
and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be
opened unto you: For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh
findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.
We have different
needs for different people but God knows what we need. Sometimes we think we
need something, but in actuality we really don’t need it. Throughout
Scripture we see the word ask. God is saying ask me I
will provide for you.
Philippians 4:19 And
my God will fully supply your every need according to his
glorious riches in the Jesus Christ.
We know how much
more will God help and have compassion for those in the body of Christ. God
knows when we want something just to spend it on your greedy pleasures and
also He knows when we have honest motives and ministry motives, and when we
are really struggling with our motives, our God knows how to help His
children and make them more like Christ. We must be thankful when we
have little and also when we have more than enough, but we must be more
careful as well to keep away from Satan greedy deeds. God is able to
do more than we ask Him.
Psalm 22:26 The
poor will eat and be satisfied; those who seek the LORD will praise
him may your hearts live forever!
Proverbs 10:3 The
LORD will not allow a righteous person to starve, but he intentionally
ignores the desires of a wicked person. (We are studying now the book of
Proverbs in daily devotion in Audio conference, last night we read this
portion).
2 Corinthians 9:8
And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that always having
all sufficiency in everything, you may have an abundance for every good deed;
See…..What a Great
Help in Needs we have in the Word..!
5. Encouragement That Gives us
Protection in our days.
God has made promises to those who
follow Him, and we can be encouraged by those promises to protect us on the
Earth and also even after the Earthly life.
Psalm 32:7-8 You are my hiding
place; you will protect me from trouble and surround me with
songs of deliverance.
Ex: I bring a real
Story from my life but don’t remember the date, many years ago.
It was surely summer, during that time, we
two preachers finished our gospel meeting started our return travel but lost
our way back and separated from the regular walking way in that forest to the
main road to catch the public bus, by the time we reach the road it is
midnight and we already know that there are some wild animals. Yes, exactly
we heard the voices from the forest and no vehicles travel on the road at
that time and we are just sitting on the road side and said "God, if it
be your will, please protect us in this night from these wild animals, we
don’t know what kind of these animals, whatever your will, but we love you
and trust you God. Amen." We clearly see some animals are walking
towards us and again our eyes are closed for again prayer, again Amen. Then
see a light coming towards us and definitely it is any kind of vehicle and
slowly reaching us and we started waving our hands with showing Bible that
the vehicle driver will not think that we are robbers. Yes, vehicle stopped,
that was a truck and dropped us safely in our town. Again thanks to God and
Amen. Our God protects us and keep His people safe from all dangers. Thanks
to Him always.
I know every one of us have different kind of stories to
recognize the Protection of our God in our lives. Now we are praying for
America to heal and keep safe from the Corona Virus and the World.
Thanks to you for giving this opportunity to speak and
share this with you to encourage and get your encouragement in our spiritual
life. God Bless India and God Bless America.
